I am founder of Empower Ventures that invests in “clean and smart” technologies.  We have an Asian focus but a global perspective.

Prior to entering the venture investing industry, I spent time in strategy consulting at McKinsey & Co, KPMG, and founded my own firm.  During this time, I helped a range of companies from young start-ups to large multinationals with their business and strategic plans.

I was also research analyst and Head of Power Sector Research at Macquarie Bank where I managed a team and advised a range of Tier 1 fund managers around the world both on listed companies and on IPOs.

I love helping companies grow and overcome the challenges that come with it.  I have spoken about venture investing, cleantech, energy, infrastructure.  Since entering the venture investing business, I have reviewed many business plans, judged at a number of business plan competitions, and continued to draw lessons and form insights on the journey in building great companies.

We have seen up close how a small team can make a difference!  We look for founding teams that are bringing clean and smart solutions to the world and are driven by a mission that is bigger than their own interest, who is committed to this, and is solving an interesting, important and meaningful enough problem.
